Pasta Dinner

As most of you know, my daughter’s ringette team earned a spot in the Eastern Canada Championships in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia from April 15 to 22. It is the first time a team from North Bay has attended Easterns so we’re making history!

But, it’s a very expensive history. When you total flight, hotel, fees and other stuff, the cost for the team is somewhere around $59,000. So, we’re fundraising. A lot. And we have 2 ½ weeks to do it.

We are having a spaghetti dinner on Friday, April 13 at the Shriner’s Club at 1250  Brookes Street from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The cost is $17 for adults, $12 for children and $50 for a family of 4. There will be gluten free and vegetarian options. There will be a cash bar (yes, you read that right) bake sale and silent auction.

We are selling raffle tickets for pre-paid credit cards. The top prize is $1000 with secondary prizes of $500 and $100. Only 800 tickets have been printed. The cost is $10. Contact me if you want to purchase one. I have 50 of these bad boys to sell so I’ll always have some with me.

We are also doing a bottle drive. We won’t be going door to door, but we are asking people to either give us their empties or bring them to the collection point, which is Mojo Fitness on Regina beside Burger World.
